First thing we should probably clarify - My Happy Place is not a specific physical place. We do not have a public studio space. We create a safe space for our workshop guests to let their creative spirit out and explore regardless of what physical space we are creating in. This could be at your place of work, your home, your backyard, or even a rented space or favourite restaurant!

Experience
- Mary-Ann has been an artist in Sudbury for well over 20 years.
- Cynthia has been teaching crafting for almost 20 years.
- Mary-Ann's Connect & Create Parties was the FIRST paint-night company in Sudbury.
- Cynthia's Jacaranda Events hosted parties, fundraisers, weddings, and corporate events for clients over ten full seasons.
Knowledge
- Mary-Ann has been teaching people to create since the 1900s ( *lol* )
- Cynthia has certifications in adult education and workshop facilitation.
- Mary-Ann studied fine art in school and brings that knowledge to her teaching
- Cynthia's education in marketing and design provides her students with a different spin on creating art.
Some of the medium/projects we have taught (besides acrylic painting):
- Paper crafts: Cardmaking, scrapbooking, mixed media projects
- Wood craft: Mailboxes, signs, landscapes on wood slabs, and more
- Home decor: Wreaths, table centrepieces, framed mixed media, refinishing small furniture pieces, wall murals, wine-cork creations like monograms, wreaths, coasters etc.
In other words, these ladies know their stuff and have figured out how to host a fun party along the way! If you are lucky enough to have both of them teaching at your party, you can expect a lot of laughs and hilarious playful ribbing too.
